Kirill Gerstein

With a masterful technique, discerning intelligence, and a musical curiosity that has led him to explore repertoire spanning centuries and styles, this multifaceted Russian-Israeli-American pianist has rapidly ascended into classical music’s highest ranks and “emerged as one of the most respected pianists of his generation” (The New York Times). After pursuing jazz piano at age fourteen as the youngest student ever to attend Boston’s Berklee College of Music, he continued on to win First Prize at the 2001 Rubinstein International Piano Competition in Tel Aviv followed by a 2010 Gilmore Artist Award and a 2010 Avery Fisher Career Grant.
